New guide for Spanish property launched

A new guide for people interested in buying or investing in Spanish property has been introduced by The Rights Group (TRG).

Mark Wilkins of TRG said that Spain was identified as the second most popular place to invest by television programme A Place in the Sun following recent research.

Although it is popular, investing in Spanish property can be tricky owing to differences in the country's legal system, Mr Wilkins added.

As long as investors are aware of the necessary factors and have access to advisers and lawyers, however, investment in Spain can be as safe as in the UK.

A number of factors are pointed out in the guide from TRG, including the importance of identifying the right property, affordability, making the most out of your euros, being aware of fluctuations in currency and protecting your interests through seeking legal guidance.

The guide launched by TRG has been described as useful for people considering getting involved in Spanish property for the first time.
