ABOUT THE CITY:
Adra is a large town of about 22,000 inhabitants between Almeria, Malaga and Granada. Because of its location and orientation, it possesses a very special micro-climate, with balmy winters and warm summers.
The city is in an excellent location, 120 Km. from Málaga and 150 Km. from Granada. The Ski slopes of Sierra Nevada are located about an hour away. The touristic areas of Almerimar and Aguadulce, with large shopping areas, are within 30 minutes. The town has a fishing port as well as a sport marina. It is a quiet town, with onl one hotel (next to the complex Pueblo Andaluz), a 4-star hotel of the chain Barcelo Hoteles, and not many tourists invade the town and its beaches.
The beach meets all the European requirements that confer it a Blue Flag (easy access, showers, etc.,both the Poniente beach, where the property is located, as well as the Playa de San Nicolás, on the other side of the port). It is a typical andalusian town, with character, tapas, traditions and romerias.
The town can be accessed from all directions. By air, it can be reached both through the Almeria airport as well as those in Malaga and Granada. Bus lines connect it with the rest of Spain frequently.
The complex where the property is located is near the local health center, and the police station is next to it as well. The town's covered swimming pool and sports center is aslo adyacent to the complex. In addition, there is a lage supermarket in the premises, and easy access to all the shops in the town.
